I can't believe March Break is in just one week! I'm looking forward to spending some time with my family, but will definitely miss my TFP family :(
On Monday and Tuesday, Mme. Jen will run our French Enrichment program.
The children in the 3/5 day class will have their turn to work on our Jackson Pollock inspired painting. It is already looking amazing and have no doubt that the final piece will be nothing short of spectacular! This amazing piece of art will be up for auction at our fundraiser on the 29th. It would make a great addition to a children's playroom or bedroom! Speaking of the fundraiser, if you haven't purchased tickets yet, you may buy them from me ($5/ticket, children under 2 are free) or you can email Heather - email@example.com. Everyone is welcome to attend!
The children have been learning about storytelling in various forms. To date, we've explored telling stories using felt story boards, props, and through movement. This week, we'll create stories using story blocks, essentially wooden blocks with pictures on them. We'll roll the blocks, see what image lands facing up and start creating! Our next form of storytelling will be "Draw and Tell". Here's a link to one of my favourite draw and tell stories -
