The famous art piece we worked on recreating last week was The Snail by Henri Matisse. I thought this would be a piece they would enjoy working on, but was impressed by the care and time each child put into their creation.
This week, we'll paint our versions of Van Gogh's Starry Night on cardboard wrapped in aluminum foil. Instead of typical painting tools like paintbrushes, the children will use cotton swabs. I think the process involved will be a lot of fun and the product will look cool!
Valentine's Day is almost here and our class will participate in some love-themed activities this week! Thursday is our class party. I know the children are very excited for this. Please remember to bring 15 Valentine's Day cards to school on the 12th or 13th. The children will take their V-Day mailboxes home on Thursday.
Also on Thursday is Yoga and Mindfulness Enrichment.
Friday is a PA Day and Monday is a holiday, so a 4-day weekend for the children.
