Here is what the children created during last week's Famous Artists Series lesson. In Kandinsky's Squares with Concentric Circles, he used watercolours, gouache paint and crayons. To simpify the lesson for our preschoolers, they used circles cut from construction paper and glue. Instead of placing a focus on the visual result of the art piece, we worked on seriating the circles in order by size and position. This cross-curricular activity was a lesson in both Art and Math!

Next up in our Famous Artists Series is Andy Warhol's Pop Art. I love the flashy colours Warhol used in some of his unique creations. The colours the children will work with to create their Pop Art pieces will be just as bright and exhuberant!

On Thursday, Ms. Jane will be with us for Yoga and Mindfulness Enrichment.

The past few weeks, the children have really branched out socially. A number of new friendships have been created and their social skills are blossoming! To support them on their social journeys, I've planned some game and activities that hone in on critical aspects of social development like turn-taking and co-operating.
