Feb 28 - Mar 4
I am so impressed by the growth I've seen in the children's language development skills. They now all have an understanding of phonetics and are working on learning their "letter sounds".
Our Superhero-themed Art and Circle Time activities from last week encouraged some positive social interactions in our classroom! The learning that came from these lessons exceeded my expectations as the children didn't just brainstorm how they can be Classroom Superheroes, but they demonstrated these skills in their interactions with each other. Check out the ideas they came up with!

We'll continue working on our Famous Artists Series. The art style we're focusing on this week and next is Andy Warhol's Pop Art. This week, the children will create a piece inspired by the famous silkscreen painting, The Marilyn Diptych. Of course, we won't be using the elaborate technique of screenprinting, but our simplified version which uses simple printmaking will be just as awesome! Here's the piece we're going to create.
