Isil joined Time for Play as a Supervisor and Lead Teacher in April 2026. She brings more than 20 years of experience in education, having worked as an English teacher, instructor, mentor, and educator with learners of all ages.

With a background in linguistics and English language teaching, Isil has always been fascinated by how children learn and communicate. Although she has taught learners from preschool through adulthood, working with young children has always been her greatest passion. After becoming a parent, she decided to pursue that passion by completing the Early Childhood Education program at Sheridan College, graduating with honours.

Since coming to Canada, Isil has worked in childcare centres, EarlyON programs, and community-based educational settings. She enjoys creating experiences that spark children's curiosity while helping them develop the fundamental skills, confidence, and independence that prepare them for the next stage of their learning journey.

A lifelong learner, Isil recently completed her second master's degree, specializing in Educational Administration. She is grateful to be part of the Time for Play community, where meaningful relationships with children and families are at the heart of learning.

ECE Educational Assistant

Heather’s passion for childcare began during her early years as a camp counselor, inspiring her to pursue a lifelong career in early education. After completing her ECE program at Seneca College, she spent years supporting families across Bloor West Village and Etobicoke as a private childcare provider.

As an educator, she believes that children have so much potential and with the right amount of support and guidance, they are capable of anything. Being part of their learning journey, and sharing in their natural sense of wonder, is why she finds working with toddlers and kinder-aged children extremely rewarding and fulfilling.

Outside the classroom, Heather enjoys reading, tackling daily word puzzles, and walking along the Humber River. As a Bloor West local, she cherishes her strong connections to the community and is thrilled to welcome and build relationships with new families at Time for Play.
