Jane joined Time for Play as a nursery school assistant in 2009.
She has lived in the Bloor West area for many years and her children attended Runnymede Public School. Some area residents might remember her store, Beadworks, at the corner of Windermere and Bloor. The business was very family and child focused. Jane and her staff taught hundreds of children and adults how to make beaded jewelry through classes, birthday parties and in-store demonstrations.
Prior to Time for Play, Jane worked for the Toronto District School Board as an educational and special needs assistant. She worked with children in the regular and special needs program from kindergarten to grade eight.
Audrey was Time for Play’s dedicated Substitute Teacher from 2008 - 2015. Her love of teaching young children and appreciation for the TFP program, strengthened her relationships with the students, parent members, and staff during this time. She joined the nursery school as our Teacher/Supervisor in January 2016.
A long-time resident of Bloor West Village, Audrey began her association with Time for Play in 2007, when she served as an Executive Committee Member and Registrar while her own child attended the school.
A certified Early Childhood Educator since 1997, Audrey began her career as a teacher in municipal daycare before transitioning to work as a private nanny.
Audrey remained an active volunteer in her community while raising her own family. For many years she worked on curriculum-based projects with the students at Runnymede Public School. She also served as a Committee Chair and Executive Committee Member there. Since 2009, she has helped run art-therapy sessions in a young children’s program, at a local Women’s Shelter.
