Off We Go!
Our first two days went so smoothly, and wow, I am incredibly proud of the children! They settled in beautifully, and it was wonderful to see them beginning to explore, play and feel comfortable in their new classroom. We are now ready for our first full week together. Here is a little sneak peek of them busy exploring and playing.

I am so excited about all the learning and fun ahead of us this year. Throughout the year, I will observe and document the children’s interests, learning and development. I will consider their individual learning styles, temperaments and needs when preparing my weekly program plans. I use Ontario’s early years curriculum framework, ELECT, along with other early learning resources, to plan meaningful, play-based experiences.
Please take a look at our program plan for the coming week:
We have a fun, learning-filled week ahead! This Tuesday is our first dance enrichment session. Ms. Michelle, the owner of Swansea School of Dance, has been part of the TFP community for many years. I am very excited to have her guide the children through movement and dance.
And apparently, I will be learning just as much as the children! Here is what I learned during our first week:
A pterodactyl was not actually a dinosaur. It was a flying reptile.
The “p” in pterodactyl is silent.
I am so grateful for these kiddos!
