Kandinsky's Concentric Circles was last week's inspiration from our Famous Artists Series. During this project, the children chose coloured circles of various colours and sizes and glue them in order from biggest to smallest. I then took all of their pieces and join them together to create this piece. I love the way it came together!

Starry Night, a well-recognized painting by Vincent Van Gogh (see below), will be used this week as inspiration for the children to create their own expressive paintings, exploring swirling techniques using cotton swabs. To give this piece an added layer of depth, shiny aluminum foil canvases will be used.

An additional art activity for this this week will be making a moon and star piece for Ramadan. We'll use a technique called resist painting to produce this one. The end result isn't important here. The process of painting on and around the moon and star cut-outs and then removing them to see the effect is the fun part!

Ms. Maggie joins us for Yoga & Mindfulness Enrichment on Monday.
Our class is still into knock-knock jokes, so I decided to do another jokes Circle Time. Will try to get a video of this one!
We've got a lot more engaging, hands-on experiences planned for this week! Check out our program plan below.
