It's not often that the TDSB calls a "snow day", so I hope the children were able to get outside for some fun in the snow last Thursday!
During last Monday's Yoga & Mindfulness class, some of the children tried "partner Yoga". Check out Lili and Sloane doing an Open Heart pose!
Ms. Michelle has had to reschedule this upcoming week's Dance Enrichment session to the following Tuesday. So, we will not have any Enrichment Programming this week, but double-Enrichment (Dance and Yoga) the week after.
I have planned our first art activity for what I call our "Famous Artists Series". This week the children will work on creating their own "Castle and Sun" paintings, inspired by Swiss-German artist, Paul Klee. See original piece below.
Every week from now until I basically run out of ideas, I'll plan a different art piece for the children to make. Artists such as Monet, Warhol and Picasso are just some of the historical masters whose works will be used to spark our creative sides.
I'm also excited about the Circle Time learning experiences planned for this week! I have a variety of musical, physical, literacy, numeracy and Science-focused activities set. I think the class will be eager to participate in all of these!
