We starting learning about pumpkins last week and will continue with this unit throughout this upcoming week.
Here are some of the children making pumpkins out of playdough while listening to a book on this topic.

Various types of pumpkins will "trick out" our Science table, be the medium in Monday's Art activity, and can be found in a number of other activities in this week's program.
Halloween is my favourite celebration and we're going to have a spooktacular one this year at TFP!
On Wednesday, we're taking the children outside to do a Halloween scavenger hunt on Western Tech's grounds. Hopefully, the weather cooperates, but if it's raining, we will reschedule to Thursday.
On Friday, everyone can come to school dressed in their costumes! Ms. Jodi and I will be dressed up too. Please consider choosing costumes the children can move around in, don't drag on the floor and don't include masks. We're having a dance party, parading down the hall of The Student School (one of the neighbouring high schools in the building) and having a special Halloween-themed snack this day too! I will take lots of photos during program time.
