Last week, the children created a piece of "nature art" that they are especially proud of! First, they painted a tree branch and then decorated leaves I had preserved by gluing glitter on them. I will hang the leaves on the branch with yarn to make a mobile as a classroom display. Here are a couple of photos of some of the children working on this project.
More "nature art" to come this week and a unit on Leaves and Trees will be set up at the Science table. To extend our learning of this subject, we'll take our program outdoors on Wednesday for a nature walk and exploration. Our focus will be on the colours of leaves changing and the children will get to collect leaves that they will then use on Thursday for our Art activity.
On Monday, we have our second Yoga & Mindfulness Enrichment class with Ms. Maggie.
Friday is a PA Day and the following Monday is Thanksgiving. Enjoy the long weekend!
